  You can replace factory mirrors with mirrors that have heat and electric operation including turn signals but those features will only work on the new mirrors if the original mirrors had those functions to start with. If your factory mirrors do not have these features then those features will still not work on the new mirrors.   My contacts at K-Source have confirmed that the # KS62077-78G mirrors are a fit for the 2008 GMC Sierra. These are manual mirrors, and will not electrically adjust. The mirrors use the factory mounting locations, so they look like OEM towing mirrors, not something that was slapped on there as an afterthought. If your OEM mirrors are power-adjustable, are heated and have the turn signals in the mirror face, part # KS62093-94G would retain those features for you.

  The only troubleshooting you can really do with the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors # KS62093-94G would be to check that the wire harness is fully connected and that you didn't blow a fuse in the truck that could've killed the power to the mirrors.   What we have found is that if you can retain functions you currently have on a truck when installing aftermarket tow mirrors but you can't add any additional ones that aren't already there. If you contacted a Chevy dealer you might be able to have them add the wiring harness that allows the other functions to activate but that might end up costing you more than you'd like.

  I have a solution for you, but the part # KS62093-94G is for newer models of the Silverado so I can't recommend them for your 2001 Chevy Silverado.
